Cloud Provider
The cloud provider can be selected here.After selecting a cloud provider, the website of the selected cloud provider will open in your default browser and you will be asked to authorise the MAMP. This process is shown here as an example for Dropbox.

Sign in to Dropbox

You will be notified that MAMP wants to access your Dropbox account. Access will only be granted to the “Apps/MAMP” folder. Confirm this request by clicking the “Allow” button.

The Dropbox website will attempt to redirect you back to MAMP. For security reasons, you will need to confirm this action in your browser. Confirming this message will take you back to the MAMP.
When selecting the cloud provider, you also have the possibility to select the “File Transfer (S)FTP” option. This allows you to transfer the data to your own server via FTP (or SFTP). After selecting this option, a dialog opens in which you can enter the corresponding access data.

Protocol
Select the protocol you will use to transfer files to your remote server. The options are as follows:- SFTP
- FTP with TLS/SSL
- FTP with implicit SSL
- FTP

Server
The name of the server you are connecting to when uploading or downloading your files to a remote server. -
Port
Select the port to which you will connect when transferring your files to your remote server. The following ports are commonly used for the appropriate protocols:- SFTP = 22
- FTP with TLS/SSL = 21
- FTP = 21
- FTP with implicit SSL = 990

User Name
Your username to use when connecting to your remote server. -
Password
Your password for connecting to your remote server. -
Cloud Folder
Here you specify the directory in which the data is to be stored on your server.- Choose…
Clicking this button opens a dialog with the directory structure of your remote host. Here you can select the appropriate directory.

Database
Select the database to be connected to your host. This database will then be transferred to the cloud. -
Encryption
Use this feature to encrypt your data before transferring it to your cloud provider. You can encrypt all data before it is transferred to the cloud using the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) and an encryption key that you provide. The key is stored in the system’s keychain. You cannot set the encryption key while there is cloud activity.When you set encryption, your files are stored in the cloud with an .encryptedzip extension.
To use this feature, check the “Encrypt data before upload” checkbox.

New Key
Enter the encryption key to be used for all cloud services. This key must be a minimum of 16 characters and a maximum of 32 characters. -
Verify
Re-enter your encryption key here for verification. -
Create text file with key on the desktop
If you check this box, a text file containing the encryption key will be created on your Desktop when you set the encryption key. The file name is as follows “MAMP Cloud Encryption Key DATE TIME.txt”. -
Load from file…
Allows you to load the encryption key from a previously saved text file. -
Cancel
Clicking this button will cancel the action and close the dialog. -
Set
Click this button to set the specified encryption key. This button is only active if the specified encryption key meets the requirements and verification is successful.

Clicking this button will remove the data stored in the cloud. Your local data is not affected.

Serial number (Only displayed after registration.)
The MAMP Cloud serial number you are using is displayed here. -
Buy now (Only displayed before registration.)
Clicking on this button will take you to our website where you can purchase a MAMP Cloud licence. -
Register (Only displayed before registration.)
Click on this button to open a dialogue box for entering your MAMP Cloud serial number.After entering your serial number, a dialogue box will appear informing you that registration has been successful.
