  • MAMP

    • About MAMP
      Clicking on this entry will open a dialog box where you can see the version number and your serial number.

    • Preferences…
      A click on this entry opens the preferences dialog. Details can be found here.

    • Quit MAMP
      Click on this entry to quit MAMP. Whether the servers should be stopped also depends on what you have selected in the corresponding section of the preferences.

  • Servers

    • Start
      Use this menu item to start the MAMP servers.

    • Stop
      Use this menu item to stop the MAMP servers.

  • Tools

    • Check MySQL databases…
      Clicking this menu item opens the dialog box for checking MySQL databases. This function checks the database tables for errors and possible upgrade needs. This menu item is active only if the MySQL server is running. For more information on this topic, refer to the MySQL manual.

    • Repair MySQL databases…
      Clicking this menu item opens the dialog box for repairing MySQL databases. This feature is not available for all storage engines. For more information on this topic, refer to the MySQL Manual.

    • Upgrade MySQL databases…
      Clicking this menu item opens the dialog box for upgrading MySQL databases. For more information, refer to the MySQL manual.

    • Servers & Fingerprints…
      Clicking this menu item opens the dialog box with the saved fingerprints of the SFTP connections you are using (see Cloud).

  • Cloud

    • Start Using Cloud
      After registering Cloud Functions for MAMP, you can login. Use this menu item to login.

    • Purchase Cloud License
      This menu item starts the purchase process for Cloud Functions. You will be guided through the purchase process.

    • Register Cloud…
      After you have purchased Cloud Functions, you can register your purchase.

    • Save to Cloud
      After logging in to your cloud provider and selecting your settings, you can save your host data to the cloud. Select this menu item to start the process. Your data consists of a zip file containing your document root files and database data. Your data will be stored in the cloud.

    • Load from Cloud
      This menu item loads your data from the cloud.

    • Delete data from Cloud
      Use this menu item to delete the data stored in the cloud.

    • Learn More
      This menu item takes you to the website where you can find information about the cloud features.

  • Help

    • Documentation
      Takes you to the documentation you are currently reading.

    • Release Notes
      Clicking this menu item opens the version history in your standard browser.

    • Screencasts
      This menu item takes you to a website with screencasts, which introduces you to the basic features of MAMP.

    • How to upgrade vom MAMP to MAMP PRO
      If you click on this menu item, you will be taken to the corresponding section in this documentation.

    • Discover MAMP PRO
      This menu item takes you to an overview that shows you some of the great features of MAMP PRO.

    • Try MAMP PRO
      Use this menu item to start MAMP PRO.
